Biography/History
Earl Bellamy, producer and director, was born on March 11, 1917 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has been active in both film and television and began his career as a messenger at Columbia Pictures. His motion picture credits include Fluffy, Incidental Phantom, Gunpoint, and Munster Go Home. In addition he has served as assistant director on such film classics as A Star Is Born, Born Yesterday, Arizona, and From Here To Eternity; for the last-named, he received the Directors' Guild Annual Award in 1953. Bellamy has also directed hundreds of television shows, among them The Virginian, I Spy, Mod Squad, My Three Sons, Rin Tin Tin, McHale's Navy, Bachelor Father, The Lone Ranger, and The Donna Reed Show. Bellamy is married to Marjane Nulle; they have three children.

The Earl Bellamy Papers, 1970-1971, focus on three television series which he directed. The file includes scripts for Medical Center, The Partridge Family, and To Rome, With Love. In addition there are shooting schedules for To Rome, With Love. The file is arranged alphabetically by series title and chronologically by production number thereunder.
