Scope and Content Note

Hospital Logs, 1911-1969, and Sterilization Records, 1915-1963, span the widest range of years. Contents of the hospital records are usually evident from the title. Hospital Improvement Project (HIP) records contain day-to-day medical data and treatment decisions documenting the Hospital Improvement Grant for Enrichment Program to Develop Self-Help Skills. This was a federally funded grant to teach residents basic skills such as eating and hygiene. Sterilization books detail information about each patient and the reasons sterilization was recommended.

Arrangement of the Materials

Alphabetical by record type and subject.
