Abstract:

Records of a citizens group created by Governor Patrick J. Lucey in 1971 to examine statewide land use policies in light of environmental and urban development concerns and to propose recommendations for improvement. The committee, which was chaired by former Governor Warren P. Knowles, issued a preliminary report in March, 1972. A final report was issued in March, 1973. Included are minutes and meeting materials, edited drafts of the final report, staff and working papers, materials from the land use-taxation subcommittee, and miscellaneous documentation.
