Abstract: Principally correspondence of the director's office concerning the operation of the system and its relation to students, faculty, the legislature, and the public. Subjects include student enrollment, fees, scholarships, athletics, recreation, placement, veterans, curriculum, faculty selection, faculty salaries and rank, selection of university presidents, budgets, physical plant, and land purchases. Correspondence is with Board members, state campus presidents, teachers, and other college personnel, state agencies, legislative committees, Governor's Educational Advisory Committee, National Science Foundation, professional educational associations, and many other organizations and individuals.
