Reports from districts which operated high schools as well as
elementary schools. Reports show school census; enrollment and attendance; number, cost, and
kind of buildings; data on physicians, nurses, truant officers, supervisors, clerical help,
textbooks, and health matters; school library statistics; certified teachers; financial
data; and statistical analyses of teachers and pupils. Some reports have attached lists of
tuition pupils. Each district's annual Fall report, containing the estimated budget along
with the pupil count taken on the third Friday in September, is filed with the previous
year's annual report beginning in 1959/1960.
Records for 1939-1970/1971 are available only on microfilm. Originals for 1939-1970/1971 were discarded after microfilming.
About 2002 districts began submitting report data on diskettes. This data is entered into
a relational database and after five years validated point-in-time data is transferred to CD
for preservation in the State Archives.
