Abstract:
Research papers of Ferne Bridge, a University of Wisconsin-Platteville graduate, schoolteacher in Green County, resident of Juda, Wis., and chairperson of the 1976 U.S. Bicentennial celebration in Juda. The papers consist of her genealogical research and local history notes on Green County, Wis. The bulk of material documents the families of Bridge, Conn, Delap, Douglass, and Starr. The collection also covers other surnames from Green County as well as from other states such as Illinois, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Also included are local histories of the towns of Jefferson and Juda in Green County, research notes on Scotch-Irish immigrants, correspondence, and information on the 1976 U.S. Bicentennial celebration in Juda.
