Primarily records of a prominent business firm owned by Otto Geiger of Cassville, Wis., which operated under various names, including Raffauf & Geiger and Klindt, Geiger & Company. There are daybooks, 1859-1865, letter books, 1856-1908 (with gaps), and a folder of miscellaneous papers, 1854-1864. The daybooks concern sales at the general store, and the letter books and miscellaneous papers relate to the sale of wheat, meat, and lard down the Mississippi; insurance of shipments; purchase of coal, seed, binder twine, flour, and other merchandise; sale of livestock and wool; employees; the local electric plant of which the later partners were part owners; the creamery; and the canning factory operated at Cassville.
