Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of images of men drafted for World War I military service from Sauk County, Wisconsin, 1917-1918. The photographs show the draftee groups in civilian clothes ready to depart for designated training camps. The majority of the photographs were taken in front of the Sauk County Chapter of the American Red Cross in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The images were made by E.B. Trimpey and the A.T. Johnson Studio.
