Biography/History

Gilbert Paper Company was established by William Gilbert Sr. in Menasha, Wisconsin, on April 27, 1887 to manufacture high quality paper. As the company's first president, William Gilbert Sr. was assisted by his four sons, William M., Albert C., Theodore M., and George. William M., second president circa 1900-1920, was followed by Albert, who served as the company's president circa 1920-1940. Theodore served as treasurer during the early twentieth century.
