Diaries, 1921-1969, of Glen H. Orr, a 1915 graduate of the University of Wisconsin's School of Agriculture, who lived in Blooming Grove, near rural south Madison. Orr kept detailed accounts of his farm activities, his home life, the weather, local weddings, births and deaths, buildings, and other daily activities and news. In addition to Orr's farm activities, he worked various odd jobs around Madison, including census enumerating in Stoughton, outdoor landscaping in and around Madison with Wallace Conlin, and a job at the license bureau (Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Department) in downtown Madison. In 1959, he retired and lived in Jasper and Harrison, Arkansas, and after this time the diaries concern his life there. English
