Its geographic area first included the nine counties north and east of Winnebago County, Wisconsin, but later was extended south and west as far as Columbia County. The objectives of the Association as defined in their constitution are the professional improvement of its members and the advancement of educational interests throughout the state. To accomplish these goals, the Association holds annual meetings, sponsors conferences and demonstrations, and publishes a newsletter, The Northeasterner.
