Scope and Content Note
The Austin Mosher Papers consist of materials related to genealogical research conducted by Mr. Mosher in the 1950s and 1960s. The papers are grouped in the manner in which they were received, according to the family they concern. Within each folder, arrangement is also maintained as received; this usually means that, rather than being arranged in a clear chronological order, letters and notes are grouped by the specific research question they concern. Because of the inter-relationships of the families, the papers too are closely inter-related and they occasionally overlap in subject matter. The last folder particularly contains materials which have information in the same documents on several families.
