Biography/History

The St. Paul's congregation was organized in 1903 by members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Town of Clifton, Monroe County, Wisconsin. Commonly known as the Clifton church or the Indian Creek church, the St. Paul's congregation met first in a local Baptist Church then erected its own building in 1911. Originally all services were conducted in German but they became bilingual in 1915. The church was served by the St. Peter's pastor.
