Abstract:
Collection of photographs and newspaper clippings which document iceboating in and around Madison (Wis.) taken by members of the Bernard family and arranged chronologically by decade. Several photographs depict the boats used in competitions and of the winners holding their trophies as well as images of Bernard’s Boat House which had been on Lake Mendota. Also included are photographs taken from the 1927 airshow featuring Charles Lindbergh and his plane, The Spirit of St. Louis.
