Abstract:

Photographs created by Hugo Schneiders, a dentist, nature conservationist, and sportsman from Wausau, Wisconsin. The majority of the photographs reflect his interest in nature conservation, especially fisheries and deer management, and include many images of deer hunting and fishing in northern Wisconsin in the early 1900s through 1970. Also included are images of social activities taken during his years attending dental school at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (circa 1914), and his dental practice in Marathon, Wisconsin (circa 1915-1929), and in Wausau, Wisconsin (circa 1930-1970).
