Abstract:
Records of Employment Options in Madison, Wisconsin, a self-help career development service for low-income women with little or no technical or vocational training, originally founded in 1975 under the name Skilled Jobs for Women. The records document its role as the first agency in the Midwest to help women secure and retain non-traditional employment and the first in Wisconsin to offer programming for displaced homemakers.
