Correspondence, meeting minutes, news clippings, notes, reports, by-laws, statements, flyers, statistics, membership and mailing lists, annotated minutes of La Crosse Board of Education meetings, and miscellaneous materials of the Citizens Education Committee of La Crosse, a civic organization established in 1961 for the purpose of promoting better public education in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Originally formed from two study groups, the organization both studied and suggested action in areas such as direct election of La Crosse Board of Education members, the industrial education curriculum, and long range plans for capital improvements.
