Biography/History

The Frohsinn Singing Society was founded in 1882 as an Auxiliary choir of the Lutheran Church in La Crosse. It was incorporated in 1885 as a non-denominational society open to all of German ancestry who wished to preserve German folk-culture. The society performed light opera and gave concerts throughout the state.
