Photostatic copies of miscellaneous papers of the Reverend Thomas Henderson of Kentucky. Included are letters from Congressman Richard M. Johnson, 1825-1841, regarding Choctaw Academy, Great Crossings, Kentucky, Henderson's boarding school for Indian boys, and school accounts and invoices, 1837-1838. Also includes letters from Henderson's nephew, John W. Poteet, St. Louis, Missouri, 1817-1822, and other family correspondence, 1805-1839; a muster roll for Capt. Squire Grant's Company, 4th Regiment, Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia, 1813; and a letter from Andrew Jackson to Grant concerning the 1824 election, in which Henry Clay carried Kentucky. English
