Records of the Women's Reading Club, organized in 1894 to equip and staff the public library, including minute books, 1894-1911; cash books and financial statements, 1895-1911, showing receipts from membership fees, subscriptions, fines, and piano rent and expenditures for books, postage, lights, and labor; book orders, 1895-1902, listing the titles of books purchased; contracts for performances by speakers, orchestras, and theatre companies, 1897-1904; annual programs listing books read and topics discussed by the Women's Reading Club; and miscellaneous papers, 1895-1905, including a small amount of correspondence.
