Abstract:

Annual reports, 1870-1885 and 1936-1952, including school censuses, submitted by school district clerks and teachers to the County Superintendent of Schools. The census section provides names and information about persons less than 20 years of age residing in the school district, some family information, and student attendance and enrollment. The annual report section provides aggregate statistical information regarding number of students, teacher salaries, enrollment figures, and financial statements. Also included are lists of books ordered for each school (1948-1953); intermittent reports to the county board (1876-1903); and a small number of reports of town superintendents to the county board (1852-1858).
