Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of twelve episodes, of the original twenty-six, from the half-hour situational comedy television show The Debbie Reynolds Show, which was produced by Filmways Television and aired on NBC from 1969-1970 and was directed by Ezra Stone with production by Jess Oppenheimer. The show featured Debbie Reynolds as Debbie Thompson, a housewife who has aspirations of being a newspaper reporter just like her husband Jim, played by Don Chastain. The recurring cast also featured Tom Bosley and Patricia Smith as Bob and Charlotte Landers, friends of the Thompsons, as well as Bobby Riha as their son Bruce Landers.

The Debbie Reynolds Show was produced for one season and while twenty-six episodes were produced, this collection contains only twelve of the original episodes. Each episode is on a separate reel. All the reels in this collection are 16 mm prints with sound, in color, and have a running time of approximately 25 minutes. The visual quality of these prints is generally good overall although the quality differs between individual reels.
