Abstract:
Recordings of papers and discussion from the Conference on Pesticides sponsored by the Citizens Natural Resources Association of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin Department of Botany, held in Madison, April 16, 1966. The sessions include remarks by Carla Kruse, secretary of CNRA, and by University of Wisconsin faculty members Orie Loucks and Henry Peters; and papers by James M. Apple, Harry C. Coppel, Grant Cottam, James F. Crow, Joseph J. Hickey, and Aaron J. Ihde. Topics include the impact of pesticides on agriculture, ecosystems, and food; genetic aspects of insecticide resistance; and alternatives to chemical pest control. The transactions of the conference were published as Pesticide Report 1967.
