Abstract:
Mark Stahmann was a UW Professor of Biochemistry (1947-1979) and the co-discoverer of Warfarin. After graduate work with Karl P. Link in Biochemistry, he worked briefly at the Rockefeller Institute, then returned to Madison, where his research was on plant biochemistry, including attempts to ferment leaf proteins into useable food. This collection includes patents, correspondence, clippings, photographs, publications, and a scrapbook related to his work.
