Abstract:

The ID Madison collection contains a variety of materials related to the ID Madison organization which was formed in 1977 out of a support group meeting at St. Paul's, St. Francis House, and the Lutheran Campus Center on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. ID Madison was affiliated with DingityUSA, an organization for queer, transgender, intersex, bisexual, lesbian, and gay Roman Catholics as well as Integrity, an Episcopal organization of the same nature. ID-Madison provided a group setting to organize communication between religious groups and to provide support for members of these communities. The collection includes correspondence, newsletters, and posters.
