The Warren Gabelman papers document the scientific activities of professor Warren Gabelman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Horticulture. Gabelman joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Madison as an Assistant Professor in 1949, was promoted to Associate Professor in 1956 and Professor in 1960. Gabelman worked primarily on the breeding of carrots, onions, and table beets as well as teaching courses on the principles of plant breeding. Gabelman was Chair of the Department of Horticulture from 1965-1973. English
