Abstract:
The Peter Carstensen papers document some of the professional and academic activities of University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School professor Peter Carstensen between 1994 and 2005. Documents cover Carstensen's work on the Law Schools 1999 self study on accredidation, the honorary degree awarded to Robert Kastenmeier, the University's strategic planning in the mid 1990s, and a Law School committee on the creation of certificate programs. The collection also includes a partially handwritten outline of the 1924 legal treatise "Legal Foundations of Capitalism".
