This collection includes programmings of the WLHA student radio. WLHA, was the student-run carrier current radio station serving the Lakeshore Halls area of the University of Wisconsin. It was founded in 1952, but went off air in 1993. In 1997, the station started off again, this time, as an internet-only broadcast. By February 2002, the station started its terrestial broadcasting as WSUM (91.7FM), a student radio in Madison, Wisconsin, affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Outcues series contains recordings labeled "outcue"
Counterspin series contains recordings of the program titled "Counterspin", a weekly program of the WLHA, that looks behind the headlines of the mainstream news from around the globe.
Alternative radio series contains recordings of the program titled "Alternative Radio", which is an award-winning weekly one-hour public affairs program of the WLHA, that provides information, analysis, and views that are frequently ignored or distorted in corporate media.
Labor radio series contains recordings of the program titled "Labor Radio" which is a news program dedicated to bringing news, information and cultural events focused on working people and the labor movement in the Madison area and surrounding communities.
Production master series contains production masters of all programs aired on the WLHA radio between 1971 and 1985. The reels for the years 1981, 1982, 1984 and 1985, include a listener's guide that gives a detailed list of the content in these reels.
Miscellaneous recordings series contains a mix of audio cartridges, cassettes and tape reels of various programs aired on the WLHA student radio including, news, station IDs, time fillers, show themes, radio spots, DJ mix tapes etc. Audio cartridges 29-70 contains recordings of WLHA station IDs, time fillers, show themes and radio spots. Audio cassettes 29-39 contains mixtapes and various news and programs recordings. Audio Reels: 5 inch 1-23 and 7 inch 14-32 contains DJ mix tapes and various programs aired on the WLHA radio e.g. "anti sweatshop campaign".
