The Marvin Sukov papers are primarily correspondence between Sukov and little magazine presses and editors, typically about developing his personal collection. Sukov collected little magazines for decades, amassing a huge collection that was then acquired by UW-Madison in 1959. The initial gift totalled over 10,000 items including entire runs, rare and hard to find publications, and early issues. This collection includes correspondence with dozens of little magazines looking for specific issues, some correspondence with UW-Madison about it's intial acquistion of the collection, and correspondence with publishers, booksellers, and private collectors. This collection also includes dozens of photographs of libraries that Sukov donated in 1975, which were originally displayed in Room 364 in Memorial Library. English
