Abstract:
Materials about the anthropologic research of Harry Tschopik Jr, John F. Plummer, and John M. Hickman about the indigenous Aymara people of Peru and Bolivia from the 1940s and 1960s. The research focuses on the area around Lake Titicaca in Chinchera, Peru and Chucuito, Peru. The collection is separated into four series: Tschopik materials, Plummer materials, Hickman materials, and unattributed materials. Included is correspondence, research notes, unpublished and published writings, photographs and negatives, card guides, and reprints. Individually cataloged items can be found in UW Madison library catalog under the call number "Coll. ZZA".
