Abstract:

This series consists mostly of course materials and records from activities of the Great White Wave Machine. The Great White Wave Machine was a combined effort of UW-Parkside and area companies, such a Johnson Wax and Snap-on Tools to create a traveling truck full of hands-on physics experiments that could travel to elementary schools near the university.

The Physics Department was combined with the Mathematics Department in 2013.

The Great White Wave Machine series records a combined effort of UW-Parkside and area companies, such a Johnson Wax and Snap-on Tools to create a traveling truck full of hands-on physics experiments that could travel to elementary schools near the university. It was grant-funded from 1991-1994 and then sponsored until 2001. Schools, especially those outside of Racine and Kenosha in the counties, responded enthusiastically to the offer of a visit from the GWWM.

The Great White Wave Machine series contains promotional literature, budgets, correspondence, handouts and surveys related to the project.

The files are organized alphabetically and then chronologically within each subject.
