The collection contains administrative records and publications from the Engineers and Scientists of Milwaukee, Inc. (ESM), an organization dedicated to educating the engineering community and providing advice and assistance on civic problems involving engineering, allied arts, and sciences. The collection includes board of directors' meeting minutes, newsletters, correspondence, membership information, and newspaper clippings.

Engineers and Scientists of Milwaukee, Inc. was founded in 1904 and incorporated in 1905. As of 2005, ESM continues to provide leadership in the Milwaukee engineering community. The organization promotes the advancement of engineering, supports the professional development of individuals, and encourages the application of engineering skills to benefit the community.

Rose Daitsman donated this collection in January 1998 (accession 1998-058). Rose Daitsman donated additional records in December 2006 (accession 2006-026) and August 2007 (accession 2007-017).

Processing Information

Andrew Blahnik processed the collection at the Archives in December 2004. Shiraz Bhathena processed additions in September 2007. Julie Hatfield (supervised by Christel Maass) added some additional materials from accessions 2006-026 and 2007-017 to the collection in August 2012.
