Biography/History
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Hockey Club is an American College Hockey
Association (ACHA) Division 3 men’s club ice hockey team, formed in 2001. As of
2019, it is a part of the M3 Pacific Region and plays in the Mid-America Collegiate
Hockey League Silver-North division. Students taking at least nine credits at the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee are eligible to join the Club. According to the
UWM Post (October 30, 2002), the team originally played their games at the Ozaukee
Ice Center, 5505 Pioneer Road, Mequon, WI, but as of 2019, home games are played at
the Ponds of Brookfield Ice Arena, 2810 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield, WI.
Scope and Content Note
The collection includes fundraising materials, game summaries, photographs, publicity
materials, and meeting minutes for the club from 2001-2004.

The files are organized alphabetically by personal name or by subject, then
chronologically.

Administrative/Restriction Information
There are no access restrictions on the materials, and the collection is open to
all members of the public in accordance with state law.
The researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel,
privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection
(Wisconsin Statutes 19.21-19.39).
Harry Miller of the Wisconsin Historical Society donated these materials in 2012
at a time when the club was dormant from 2006 to that time. The records were in
his garage, as his son was running the club when it temporarily shut down. The
materials remained unprocessed until 2019 when Shiraz Bhathena found them and
processed the collection.
Shiraz Bhathena processed this collection in August 2019.
