Biography/History

In 1938 some Milwaukee labor leaders, the Milwaukee Housing Council and others began organizing a cooperative housing association for the purpose of providing homes for it's members.

Scope and Content Note

This collection contains correspondence, financial records, meeting minutes, plans, publications and records related to the group’s founding such as by laws, mission, articles of incorporation, etc. Also included are draft and final program descriptions and statements which are undated.

Donated by Frank Zeidler at an unknown date. Originally part of Zeidler's unprocessed personal papers, they were removed in 2019 to create a separate collection. Materials accessioned as Local History Manuscripts.
