Biography/History

Jim Bohl served as alderman of the 5th ward/district of the City of Milwaukee from 2000 to 2018. He resigned in May 2018 to become the city's legislative fiscal manager in the office of Intergovernmental Relations. Bohl is from Milwaukee’s northwest side, and attended Madison High School. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Marquette University in 1993 and 1996. He also taught high school at Madison University, worked as an aide for Rep. Tom Barrett, and worked as chief of staff for Mayor Cavalier Johnson.

Scope and Content Note

This collection includes correspondence, emails, business plans, ordinances, reports, maps, and statistics. Subjects covered include materials on the Hartung Quarry turned park, water quality research focusing on lead and fluoride, sewer flooding prevention, and truancy programs.
