Abstract:
Business records of a general store in the village of Highland, Wisconsin, operated by B. H. Kreul in the last quarter of the nineteenth century. The business seems to have been a typical general store of the period, which included buying produce for shipment to Chicago markets. Records also show that a wagon scale was operated for the convenience of the public. The collection also includes personal accounts of B. H. Kreul, 1882-1890 (in volume 48) and other records of Mr. Kreul's personal accounts in the ledgers.
