Abstract:
Records of C.M. Christiansen Company, a lumber company based in Phelps, Wisconsin. The mill that the C.M. Christiansen Company operated was originally owned by Hackley-Phelps-Bonnell Company, and was bought out by C.M. Christiansen and his wife, Leta in 1928. Some records of Hackley-Phelps-Bonnell Company are included in the collection. The records are composed of financial records, labor contracts, and land records. The financial records primarily contain contracts with other companies, inventories and price schedules, ledgers, payroll records, financial reports and statements, and tax forms. The land records include land books, a deed and abstract register, and records of land deals with both the government and other companies.
