Abstract: Records of the Television Bureau of Advertising (TvB), founded in 1954 by several members of the National Association of Broadcasters as an “independent, autonomous, all-industry advertising bureau.” The collection reflects the bureau's central mission to promote television for advertising purposes, and includes videotapes of approximately 11,000 commercials, primarily produced in the United States, but also in other countries.
