Biography/History

On December 2, 1930, thirteen librarians met to discuss forming a library group. On January 20, 1931 this group petitioned the national Special Libraries Association and organized the Milwaukee Chapter. In 1955 the chapter changed its name to the Wisconsin Chapter. The group meets a number of times each year to discuss subjects relating to the special library profession and also hosts social gathering in order for members to become better acquainted.
