The collection is divided into three series: Film Articles, Screenings and Talks, and
Angles Journals. The papers are arranged in the order they
were donated, and original folder titles were maintained in processing, with the addition of
dates, types of documents, and occasional title clarification.
The Film Articles series, 1989-2000, consists of Abbe's published writing from various
magazines and Milwaukee newspapers, primarily for the Milwaukee
Sentinel.
The Screenings and Talks series, 1993, 1996-2000, is a folder of flyers, brochures,
posters, and clippings. The materials promote or document events organized by or featuring
Abbe.
The Angles Journals series includes the four volumes of the
publication Angles: Women Working in Film and Video, edited
by Abbe. The journal was published between 1991 and 1999, with a final commemorative issue
in 2003. A contents list for each issue is available.
Photographs from the collection have been separated out into the WCFTR Name File, Film
Title File, and Television Title File. A list of the photographs, which primarily document
women filmmakers and their films, is available.
