Records of a Milwaukee-based professional medical organization.
Formed in 1943 from the merger of the Society for the Study of Asthma and Allied Conditions
and the American Association for the Study of Allergy, the organization was originally named
the American Academy of Allergy (AAA); in 1982 the name changed to the American Academy of
Allergy & Immunology (AAAI); the current name, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma
and Immunology (AAAAI) was adopted in 1995. Records exist in the collection from the two
predecessor organizations, though the bulk of the materials, including photographs and
textual records, are from the AAA, the AAAI and the AAAAI. English
