Scope and Content Note: Files, 1997-2007, of attorneys with the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services. Linda Dawson’s files cover her background research, legal drafts, and files from training sessions, into caregiver misconduct in elder care facilities and elder abuse. Files include information on how other states handle these issues and how other Wisconsin state agencies handle background checks, both criminal and personal. The Neil Gebhart files contain almost exclusively correspondence, both internal to the department and to outside parties, regarding the administration of Medicare programs in various Wisconsin counties.
