Scope and Content Note: Additions, 1875-1941, consisting of correspondence, legal documents, land contracts, business records, and family history. The business papers document Washburn's milling operation, Washburn-Crosby Company, and include newspaper clippings, business records, and correspondence and receipts. The genealogical materials were compiled by his daughter, Jeannette Kelsey, and include her research notes, a copy of the family tree, and correspondence. Also included is a scrapbook of Ms. Kelsey's visit to England in 1909 and photographs of Governor Washburn's residence in Madison (Wisconsin), the Washburn homestead, and other unidentified images.
