This collection constitutes the official record of the founding and activities of the “stake” or branch of the church established by James J. Strang at Voree on White River, near Burlington, Racine County, Wisconsin. It includes minutes of church conferences and high council meetings, copies of several letters, including one in June 1844, purported to be from Joseph Smith, accounts of church trials, reports of missions, revelations, and the description of the discovery of certain brass plates at Voree. The chronicle is available both in original paper form and on microfilm.
