This section of the Herbert Kubly Papers consists mainly of material relating to his 1969 book on Greece, Gods and Heroes. Included is a daily journal kept by him during his travels in Greece in 1965 and 1966 that contains, along with his own notes and observations, a number of candid interviews with various Greek political, social, and cultural figures. A number of these interviews appeared in the book in somewhat distilled form.
Also included are various drafts and galleys for Gods and Heroes, along with an archival record copy of the bound published version. There are also mimeograph copies of two of his plays.
