Biography/History

The UWM College of Nursing's Continuing Education and Outreach Program, officially established in 1983, is committed to providing high quality, accessible educational programming to a wide range of practitioners of nursing, allied health professionals, and consumers of health care in southeastern Wisconsin. These programs consist of short-term noncredit workshops and conferences in the Milwaukee community, with the option of contracting for courses outside the Milwaukee community. Programs topics have included basic physical assessment, gerontology, occupational health, community health, mental health, pharmacology, clinical update for advanced practice nurses, and maternal child health.
