The Graduate Program Office administered the M.A. and Ph.D. programs for the UW-Milwaukee
School of Nursing. The school was established in 1965 and secured full accreditation from
the National League for Nursing in 1969. In addition to the Bachelor of Science degree in
nursing, the School of Nursing has offered a Master of Science since 1971 and a Doctor of
Philosophy degree since 1985.
