The Divisional Executive Committee Office was created in 1969 by the University Faculty Assembly in Document #24. The executive committees primarily function in advisory capacities to the dean of a college or a school on matters of promotion and tenure. Other functions include approval of new courses and course changes, advice on educational policy, and resolutions on employee matters.
