Architectural drawings (oversize folders 43-48 and rolls 2 and 4) pertaining to
structural, heating and ventilation, plumbing, and electrical are restricted. There are no
access restrictions on the remainder of the collection which is open to all members of the
public in accordance with state law.
The researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel,
privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection (Wisconsin
Statutes 19.21-19.39).
An unknown individual transferred the initial collection (boxes 1-4) to the Archives
prior to 1989. Additional records (boxes 5-18 and the blueprint folders) were transferred
by Campus Facilities Planning in April of 1996 (accession 1995-047). Mike Priem
transferred additional campus planning materials to the Archives in December 2017
(accession 2017-019). The UWM Libraries Collection and Resource Management Division gave
the Archives some additional publications in June 2018.
Ellen M. Engseth processed the original collection at the Archives in July 1995. Ellen
Engseth, Kathy Koch, and Tom Steman processed the addition to the collection from August
1996 through January 1997. Matthew Peterson removed restricted materials and reformatted
the finding aid from January through April 2003. Jeremy Brett added a few files in January
2007 (box 19).
In December 2011, Bob Jaeger removed 5 safety film negatives and placed them with other
safety film negatives.
Charles Welborn updated containers for oversize folders and rolls in September 2012.
Christel Maass minimally processed accession 2017-019 and updated the finding aid to the
most current name. Clare Ruedinger added additional building programs in July 2018.
