This collection was received in, and is organized in, multiple parts. Additional materials
have not been physically or intellectually arranged and interfiled, and researchers may need
to consult more than one part of the collection to locate similar materials.
The files in the processed collection are organized alphabetically by building name, name
of office, or by subject, then chronologically. Files can contain a variety of materials,
including correspondence, staff memoranda, and reports. The blueprints contained within the
collection are not the official blueprints, rather they are office use copies. Official
blueprints for the buildings reside at the Department of Administration in Madison. Each
building project was assigned a project number from the State of Wisconsin Dept. of State
Facilities Management. The first two numbers denote the year the project number was
assigned, i.e. #6512-09 means the project number was assigned in 1965. When there is no
project number for a building, either the project number could not be ascertained from the
records or multiple project numbers are contained within the file.
